Macros in Superstar

This is for Brian, but if anybody knows the answer, please chime in.

Brian, I bought one of your Superstar sequences for a 12 CCR Tree. Carol of the Bells (Sarajevo).

There are several places where you used a Macro to reduce the strain on the network using all white on 12 CCRs, if I remember correctly.

My question is, If I'm not using CCRs and am using 2811 Pixels, will that macro create the same effect with those, or is it a CCR only? The effect in question is at 00:32:30,  2:36:05 and at 3:10:85.

Now, since 15K speed was introduced, will that still affect the all white pixel use for 600 pixels for just a second or two? Does it still need to be there?

Thanks,

Ron

Good questions. The pixel resolution macro (and all the other macros) are only supported in Light-O-Rama controllers. So they only work on CCR, CCP, and CCB controllers. Because of this I have a "DIY" version of Carol of the Bells that does not use macros. You must use the DIY version if you are not using Light-O-Rama controllers. The other sequences that use the pixel resolution macro are "Wizards in Winter for 12 CCRs" and "Hallelujah Chorus", because they use the pixel resolution macro I also have a DIY version of them as well.

My understanding is that the new 500K speed applies to only Light-O-Rama controllers. I frankly don't know about the speed for non-Lightorama controllers, I have no experience with them.

So, is this DIY one available? Do I have to re-purchase? I really only need the DIY effects in those sections mentioned above unless it's a total redo.

Thanks Brian,

Ron

If you have already purchased the standard version I can email you a link and activation code for the DIY version at no charge. Send an email to brian@superstarlights.com and I will reply to it with the link and activation code. Also please send the approximate date that you purchased the standard version.

Thanks again Brian. I got the file and all is good. Have a great day. See you at the Expo in Gatlinburg.
