Blinking, Solid now Out - Help

I have just completed my first build, powered up and the LED was blinking, connected the USB adapter and started the hardware programme, followed the instructions, it found com port 5, asked me if this is the one to use, I agreed, LED went solid, about to move onto the next stage and the LED went out, gutted, a red lamp apeared in the task bar and says LOR disabled, I have obviously made a mistake somewere but have no idea were to start looking, I am in the UK, can anyone offer some advice? I have not connected the Triacs to the heatsink just incase something was wrong and I would need to access the back of the PCB.
