I think they were only referring it to be the first of it's kind in Korea, not really considering any other displays done outside that country.

Just my speculation of course.

With that many creative people involved couldn't they come up with something more original?

maybe something got lost in translation!! lol

Tell me about it, I could switch to all CCR, CCF, CCP, and whatever other CC they throw at us.

Shortly after the shots of the light display I lost interest.  I did leave it playing so I could hear the audio as I kept scrolling through posts.

I thought the same thing, "Gee, I remember seeing Carson's display in a commercial in 2007.  Doesn't that count?"

He got his fame in the fall/winter of 2005. That's when the big rush of new LOR/PC members came shortly after.

Maybe it was in 2006 then.  It's hard to remember exactly, after I got into LOR everything became a blur.

Well I have seen the work of so many around here and I think they could have taken the company name, slapped it in the middle of  some of the greats we have here and come up with something just as good for a whole lot less money.  I can't imagine how much it must have cost to pay all those that just worked on it and not even adding in all the lights and everything else they had to buy to make it happen.  Imagine being able to put up a display and money is not an object.  I do not want to take away from what they did because it did look nice.

Actually, I'm surprised they went with LOR.

I'll bet there are a lot of commercial controllers that would have done the job and perhaps better.

I doubt there are many LOR controllers on Times Square.

I'm just saying.

Music on Hold (MOH) has been running a Christmas lights show in Perth Australia since at least 2008. It is seen by the Australian lighting community as a publicity event for his business. http://www.youtube.com/user/TheMohvideos/videos . It has always been a good lights show, but is promoted as "The Worlds Best Christmas Lights" show.

In 2012, he received national TV coverage for his GanGan style show, then received lots more TV coverage when he shut it down a few nights later - too crowded, safety concerns. see http://auschristmaslighting.com/forums/index.php/topic,3140.0.html . A couple of years ago, he did a similar shutdown a few days before Christmas - lots of disappointed visitors, but good publicity.
