FarrOut
Newby here. Last night I setup two 7 segment arches in the back yard and did a test with 14 channels. It's amazing to watch the light chase each other. The wife was pleased, me too. I've started using visualizer to layout my house, but I'm sure there will be a lot added I'm still scrounging lights from friends and neighbors and watching craigs list for garage sales near my home.So far, all the arch segments I've made have been made from used strings. I am learning a lot about different socket types and splicing 50 light segments together that were taken off 150 light strings. All my arch segments are 100 lights. That's another, thing. A lot of the 50 light strings are actually 49. Oh the things you learn. Dennis

Max-Paul
Oh, the pressure of it all. Dont know if I can get it all done before showtime, aka lights on. More than doubled number of channels this year.

FarrOut
I found an old CB antenna tower on Craigs list. I'm going to use half of it to make a 17' tree.Dennis
PMC
love those old Rohn towers, I took one section of a old (cheaply made) CB Tower cut away one section to replace a broken section of one of my light rigs for Halloween, and it was mounted horizontally using old speaker stands and I use it as a spot light/strobe light/ Inflatable arch support (6 ft ladder not used during show ) Edited February 3, 2013 by PMC
Max-Paul
ya, cant remember the make of that cheap CB tower, but was on one once and it is a foot killer. Love me some of them Rohm (SP?) towers. Been to the top of one 190' several times years ago. Was the model with the 18" faces. Was a Ham with a 2 mtr repeater down in the foot hill of Southern MO. Hence the reason for the height.
