LORi P
Hi Sheldon,I am sure you will get tons of responses to this, but I thought I'd get you started. Here are a couple of threads that might help you.http://forums.lighto...ing#entry240991http://forums.lighto...__+web +hostingI have not done anything to update mine in a while, but if you are low on funds, you can build and host a site like mine:http://lightsshining....wordpress.com/completely for free.www.wordpress.comIt is really a blog site, but they have options to set it up with more of a website look and feel than a blog.A friend of mine uses this free site: www.wix.com/htmlsites/startnowGod Luck!Lori Edited January 23, 2013 by LORi P
hdracer
Weebly.com is free, unless you want videos and your own webname. Then it is like $28.00 for 3 months. My 14 year old son made on for himself just lastweek. It was easy, except we paid for it with credit card. So you will need that if you wanna do videos & have your personal domain name. timmy
I personally use weebly as well. I purchase my domain name through my isp and use the free weebly service, which allows you to forward to your domain name if you choose to do so. I'm not a computer genius, so I don't expect my site to wow people. Feel free to check it out at www.peebleschristmas.com. I will do the best I can to help with any questions you may have with their service. I do however have videos on my site. I'm not sure if it is because I've been using them for a while or not. I'm not sure if they disabled videos on new free accounts. Good luck, I hope you figure it out.

timmy
You can contact your Internet provider and ask them if they offer discounted domain names. If they don't have a price that works for you, then you could just use the free one like www.sheldon.weebly.com or search Google for domain name services. There are tons. TheUltimate
If you are looking for a blog style site you could start with a blogspot site and it's free. I started mine that way and then converted to wordpress and was able to import my blogspot blogs to the new site which was great. I pay $7.99/mo for the domain name and the site space (www.tigertech.net).Can you give us some ideas what you want to do with the site? Do you want to track your progress with updtes (i.e. blog style). Have more of a landing page with show information and post videos and pictures? Are you focusing the site on visitors, other enthusiasts trying to learn the hobby, or another group? That will probably get you more focused advice. My site opens as a blog style site with other pages containing videos and other information.Chad

TheUltimate
Sheldon, check out my website when you have time and let me know if that is kind of what you are looking for. I don't have a page for pictures but I certainly could add one very easily. If that's the direction you want to go I can get you details on how I did it. It was actually very easy. www.lightschristmasaction.com
