Well. I have something in my display no one else has in theirs. or

Why have a animated display when you can have the real thing or

On the 1st day of Christmas my True Love gave to ME???

a P.I.G. Pig!!!

Yesterday we came home from Christmas town.....ie. Frankenmuth Mi, to find a pig walking about the display.

Of course I was contemplating how much damage he was going to do to the strings of lights strung just above the ground. But when we pulled into the driveway, he very quickly made haste and walked/ran away before I could grab the camera. During the course of the night while passing out Candy Canes, I was asking various observers if they had seen a pig during the show, but they laughed and thought I was on drugs

Well tonight when we got home, I'll be damned if he wasn't walking down the street again and heading right for our house. Again. Does he really like my Christmas display that much??? Can pigs perceive light colors???

He went right up into the yard. I thought he was going to wipe out the yard light strings again. But I'll be damned if he didn't step right over them. And their about 8" off the ground.

By now your probably all wondering where I get my egg nog...... Ha!. I'll never tell.

But, here's proof. Because I had the camera with me this time........

I also fed him/her a couple of apples and now he's my friend. Or was.

I found out last night a possibility on where he lived. So tonight I made like a piper and he followed me all the way to his home. As luck had it, his owner just pulled into the driveway and confirmed it was his pig. It had been missing for two day and thought the coyotes had eaten it...... : )

It was my idea first Lori so eat your bacon out, I mean heart out..... : ) For those who didn't know, my charity is the local foodbank. Wished I'd been thinking before I helped him find his home. I bet they would have loved those bacon sandwiches!

Update. Must be the corral is holding him because he didn't show up tonight.

The pig obviously liked your lights. And he was curteous and stepped over the lights instead of busting them... I think you should bring a few strands to his house and decorate his pen. He can't come to enjoy your lights anymore, you should give him some of his own. And no, I am not joking.
