BamaFlum
I have someone in our new neighborhood who runs a show also. My question: he uses the same frequency as my show. He is less than 1/2 mile away. Obviously I'm new so I'll change my frequency if necessary but its kind of nice for visitors to just drive by both without changing frequencies.Do I need to change or are we far enough apart? GaryM
Less than 1/2 mile away, meaning..?Making it work depends a lot on if you guys are in the group of users who thinks they need to broadcast well beyond where your display can even be seen. Its an easy test, you should be able to make it work for both of you. Surfing4Dough
So are you just wanting to use his broadcast and sequences? I don't think ELLs will transmit that far.
George Simmons
If his signal interferes with yours you could always turn him in and when the men in black come to confiscate his transmitter then your problem is solved.
BamaFlum
I have my own show. His signal is strong but I have a new antenna that needs to be trimmed to fit the frequency. I don't want trim it until I'm set on the frequency. As long as I can get it a couple if blocks, I'm satisfied. Right now, my EDM with the untrimmed antenna goes about a block; his goes several blocks. The frequency in question the best for our area but there is one that is good according to that vacant radio frequency website: 94.5 is best while 99.1 is good. GaryM
So again, why don't the two of you work together to each test and adjust your transmission range to just the minimum of what you need, and then you can coexist on the same freq? Who cares who was there first - if you don't take what you want you might not get it. It's you versus him! Cat versus mouse! Dog versus cat! Or something like that... GaryM
You seem to be confusing me with orville.
