Tindivall
Pretty much any non animated lights, don't want lights that already are set to twinkleAlso might I suggest you check out these forums:http://auschristmaslighting.comLots of tutorials and help there
dgrant
I agree. Light strings with their own controllers don't work to well with LOR unless you are just turning them on %100 then off. They are fine in that case. Another consideration is curtain strobes...same for them, on %100 then off, but remember they don't need to go on/off real fast either and need to cool off between times when they are on. dgrant
Sorry, I know I read it somewhere but I don't remember the factors. I know they needed to cool off after running and could not be quickly turned on and off. Also, precautions needed to be taken for moisture buildup on the inside and there was instructions to bore a hole through the bottom to allow moisture out, drilling between the where the internal circuit card wasn't. I didn't do that as I tied mine vertically to the guide wires of my megatree. I bought them from Christmaslightshow.com and they work great. I'm thinking it was the enclosed documentation that identified the issues with allowing them to cool off.
Max-Paul
Interesting? I have heard that you only want to run them either at 0 or 100% but no where between. I have heard of the weep hole and even though you could drill the hole, many more will suggest that you use a soldering iron to melt a hole. Less chances of slipping or popping thru the lens and hitting the glass tube of the strobe. Cant say that in the past few years I have ever heard anything about letting the strobes cool down. I have 6 of the "U" tubes and 20 of the "I" tubes. Dont remember any paperwork with any kind of caution to the effect. But if you come across that document, please share. dgrant
does any have a link for basic LED lights?with mini treeswhen they change colour is that just different sets of colours turning on and off?Its probably different sets, on the same prop therefore the different colors. Now its also very possible that someone is using RGB lights which would do the same, just a different interface to control them.
