paralegalnc
Finally got half way decent video. Still don't know why the lights on the roof don't come out blarring with over 600 LEDS! and the icicles come up blurry...but...it is what it is.... scubado
Much better video! Very nice job! One suggestion for the camera, before starting the video, turn on a bunch of lights, let the camera focus, then turn off auto focus.
scubado
Liked the closeup of the Obamatable snowman (probably didn't spell that right, but fits polically). What are using for your arches? One closeup looked like led ribbon spiralled on the arch.

George Simmons
Good Job! After all the work, it's nice to have the first year under your belt, isn't it?Jim hit it on the head - auto-focus is definitely not a friend when doing video of an animated display.I'd also suggest shortening the caption time on your next videos. 2-3 seconds per screen is plenty. No offense intended, but that's the part of anyone's videos (yours, mine, whoever's) that viewers are LEAST interested in seeing. Merry Christmas! We used pvc pipe and each one has 3 18 foot rope lights. I have OCD and I did NOT like the look of wrapped regular lights. Drove me NUTS. I personally like this look better.Good Job! Max-Paul
Great seq for Sarajavo. This is on my list for next year and love the way you sequenced parts of the song. Dumb RGB strips around the windows? Now if I can only wrap my head around how to take videos. 4th year and still do not have any videos. Would be nice to be able to share and use it as a reference so that I can make upgrades to my sequences.
George Simmons
Now if I can only wrap my head around how to take videos. Here you go:Acquire functioning camera.Insure that the battery is charged.Acquire tripod. (Unless your goal is to make viewers carsick.)Dress warmly and tote the above outside.Select a site.Attach camera to tripod.Apply power to camera. When something occurs that you'd like to record, point the camera in that direction and press the record button. When that something ends, press the record button again to stop recording. (Fancy cameras have a separate button for stop.)Repeat as necessary. When finished transport all equipment back indoors. That kinds sums it up. If you'd like a more thorough explanation of any aspect of the process let me know.Merry Christmas!

OCD kicks in from time to time.Looks great! Can only watch a couple if them on the phone though. Can you change your YouTube settings to allow mobile devices please? ThanksI'll try...I'm youtube illiterate..

Max-Paul
Thanks George, that helps alot. Well I was able to figure out what my problem was from the list you made. I believe that I am having problems with the 1st step. Actually have the camera and tripod. Its the settings so that I stay in focus and the lights do not bloom. Then too, I suppose it would help if I bundle my a$$ up and get it out there and work with it some more.
