How to keep lights on

Hey guys, I was wondering if there was a way or trick to keep my lights on while not playing a song?

Hi Cary,

It's important to remember that anytime you want the lights to be on, you are going to have to have a show running.* Let's say you want to have two songs run, then about 5-10 minutes of just static lights. To do this you would need to build a show and place the two musical sequences into the musical tab. Then, place some animation sequences right below those musical sequences, staying in the musical tab. (In this example you would not place them in the animation tab.)

Once you have created that show, you would then schedule it, just like you would any other show. For more ideas, see this article.

*Unless you are running the show from a Showtime Director, Mini-Director, or Stand-alone mode on the 160x Series of controllers.

Don, once again can't thank you enough. Will try to figure it out. Also, last year the way I would keep my lights on I had made a sequence to where 3 blocks were on. And when I would stop the sequence in any of those blocks it would stay on. But, now it will not stay on. Any thoughts.

By "Stop the Sequence" does this mean you were playing them via the Sequence Editor? If so, then you will want to make sure "Turn Lights Off At End" under "Play" is not checked.

Hopefully you were doing this just to get the lights all on. If you were running your musical display this way each night, you need to learn about shows. :)
