dj_speedy
Hello,For my first LOR display this year i bought 3 CTB16PC controlles that were pre configured to 220 volt by light-o-rama.Now for next year i am thinking of buying my leds in usa and so these lights will be 110 volt.So my question is, if i want to switch my controllers back to 110 volt, do i only need to change the jumper on the board of the controller, or is there more that i have to do?Best wishes,Gunther
WilliamS
I believe you have to change out all the 330ohm resistors to 220ohm. I may be off on the load but I know theres more to it than a jumper on the LOR boards.
Don
With the Generation 3 controllers (which is what you would have purchased this year) it is possible to go from 220v to 110v by changing the jumper.Do note this would change the input power from 220v to 110v, so you would need to change your input power as well. One thing I would note: Dan (the owner of the company) says that the 220v to 110v jumper can be used "in a pinch." I don't know if there are possible side effects from the jumper change or not.
dj_speedy
Just got answer from Dan, and it's good news :-)"Yes, you are okay. You can convert a 240 to 120 by changing the jumpers near the transformer. Please take note, a 120 volt controller CANNOT be converted to 240 by changing the jumpers, it will be damaged if it runs at 240.Best regards,Dan"
