Jerry
I have exported my new channel configuration (for next years set up) now I see I need to add a row for a beat tapper , down about the middle of the list . How do I do this ? I haven't tried anything yet, don't want to mess anything up .
jimswinder
since this is for next years shows, I presume you haven't done any sequencing yet???If not. just add it in the middle and export your new channel configuration...and use your new configuration for next year... Jerry
Thanks Jim, but I do have 2 new songs done. The next one , I just don't see how i'll get it even close without the beat wizard. Thought there should be a way to insert 1 row into the exported config. .If not , I'll have to redo the whole thing , 80 channels.
George Simmons
Maybe it would be easiest to insert a row wherever you want it for sequencing, move it around to where you need it, and then delete it when you're finished.
jerrymac
importing a saved channel config will post the configeration to the top channels in your file. Any channels below in your new listing will remain untouched. Move your added channel to somewhere below the highest channel in your old configeration and import. After the import you can move it to where ever you want and save as a new configeration.i.e. 75 channels in original configeration. you added a channel between possition 11 and 12 and sequenced but want to save your sequencing and import your original configeration. Move the new channel (now possition number 12) to possition 76 or more. Import the original configeration then move the #76 back to number 12 and save as a new configeraiton. If you have a Lot of new channels added or completly different configerations add enough blank channels to the top of the current sequence to make blank room for all of the other channels and import. Copy and Paste to your hearts content then delete the channels you don't need (group them then delete the group).I use this when I want to use individual items from other downloaded sequences.Works great just remember that importing will overwrite the first x number of channels (x=number of channels in the importing sequence). utb ghost
Jerrymac,I have done something like that - setup 96 channels but only run 78-80. Basically have 16 channels to play wih and cut /copy paste a sneeded. This year I am rearranging some / most of the 78 channels to new controllers. Going to be a pain as I rearange things for my 13 sequences. Lots of copy and pasting. But I will setup double the channels I have, select a whole sequence, copy it below, and paste back where I need to for my ne arrangement. All part of an expansion from 78 to 128 channels and some rearranging of some sets of lights to fifferent controllers for ease of wiring, and ease of sequencing because some sets of lights will be next to each other on the sequence spreadsheet in a more logical pattern.I always keep at least 16 channels below my used channels as I find it easier to cut and paste, especially if I am using some purchased sequence which I am extrapolating channels from. I have several 32 channel sequences i bought , setup in 32 "dead" channels and cut and pasted them to fit my setup. Works well for me.
