petek157
I was wondering if it would be harmful in anyway to power two flood lights at my store entrance for long periods (maybe 9 hours a night) using the LOR controller. I basically want to be able to turn them off during the light show and then have them on as security lights for the rest of the night. I just didnt know if that would harm the controller or anything if I left them on that long. Thanks, Pete

bisquit476
Depends on the power consumption of the floods.
Santas Helper
No problem to the controller really but extra work and a waste of a channel IMHO.Why not just use a timer?I have a timer on my two floods in my mega tree that are timed to come on when the show is over (within several minutes). They are actually motion sensor lights but with the same function to the power part. Edited December 11, 2012 by Santas Helper
petek157
I have a spare channel (I know I know blasphemy) so as long as it wont hurt the controller I am going to try it. But the timer is a good thought to, just want to have more control over the on/off. Maybe even find a place to use them in the show. Thanks everyone. Liberty-Laser
I've done that, even using the controller for my landscape & flood lights January-October.
