HELP! I have 3 16 channel controllers, but only one is working ) :

I had one 16 channel controller last year and I added two more controllers this year. My original controller is working fine, but I'm having problems with the other two.

The hardware controller doesn't recognize the second controller at all. The green light is constantly blinking on the second controller. I have set ID unit repeatedly for unit 2 and it says it's not connected or has no power. Controller ID #3 works under the hardware controller only if I hook directly to #3 only in test mode. #1 controller is not recognized off of #3 controller. If I hook it up to #1, then #3 doesn't work and if I hook it up to #3, then #1 doesn't work.

When power is killed or turned on for #2 the lights flicker, so I know there is power and the fuse is okay. But the green light just blinks.

#1 plays the light sequence on it's own, and #3 also will play on it's own. #2 does not play the sequence at all, but all of the lights turn on solid manually.

So, now I have 3 controllers, and spent SO much time as I'm sure you all know, to program all the additional channels, and only one controller (either #1 or #3) will play at a time. Obviously my display

isn't nearly as nice as I'd like it to be since the majority of my lights aren't playing the sequence.

If any of you pros with more experience that I have can give me any pointers I would really be grateful!

I appreciate you time,

Mark

Have you tried using a different cat5 cable when hooking up unit 1 to unit 3? Are you sure you have set unit ids and saved? Have you tried using both cat5 plugs on controller 2? If yes, I would suggest opening a trouble shooting ticket at LOR.

What software level do you have? You need a minimum of Basic Plus for three controllers.

Are you certain your cat5 cables are patch cords? If they're crossover cables weird things will happen if anything happens at all.

Are you certain your channel assignments in your sequences are correct? Are you absolutely certain?
