Aaron Maue Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I've captured video for my show and have made individual video files that I could post to Vimeo, YouTube, whatever. However, I'd much rather that people come out to see the display rather than watch everything online. I'm considering just posting a couple videos now as teasers and posting the rest after Xmas. How do you all do it? Post everything now? Wait 'till later?
dstevens Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I post during the show season, so those that live out of town can enjoy the videos during the season. Also, I've had a few visitors comment that they came out to see the lights in person after watching the videos. I usually don't video the entire show - just a couple of songs.
n_gifford Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 My videos have provoked people to actually come see it live, so I'd recommend uploading them now. I'm sure it works both ways, but as dstevens mentioned, I also do it for people that can't make it in person.
JeffF Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I post them after I get time to take and edit them. In the past that has been early in the season, in the middle of the season, and after the season. So far this year it's towards mid-season and still no videos.
