Setting EMD frequency

I was tryig to change frequenceis on my EMD transmitter, and ran into a problem. I applied an audio source, then connected the power. It shows resetting, then displays the old frequency 92.3, then starts running down through all the frequencies in a loop. What am I doing wrong? I just had it working??

Use the suggested software to talk to the EDM. TinyRDS or MiniRDS if that works with your edm. It works fine with my EDM-RDS model.

Why would one use RDS software to simply set the EDM freq? Not seeing that he mentions he's using RDS.

I've never used the software to set the frequency (suppose that doesn't mean you can't).

To the OP: did you have the antenna wire connected when you applied power? If not, you may have done some damage to the transmitter.

I guess EDM transmitters have gotten quite a bit more advanced than when I got mine. Software??? Geez - mine has two buttons you use to set the frequency - one goes up and the other one goes down. Haven't pushed either of them in five years now - every time it gets plugged in it goes to the frequency it was set to in 2008.

Had to move mine from 95.7 to 95.9 this year becaused we move to another part of the USA. Easy change with the EDM.
