kzaas Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I lit up my display on Thanksgiving night, even though while testing for a couple of days prior I noticed random lights coming on. Now I experienced this last year and right away I knew it had to be noise on the communication lines. I spent days trying to reroute the lines, retipped every single cable, unplugging and plugging them in (I even completely resoldered a controller board thinking I had it isolated to that controller) until I finally found the problem. This year I had plenty of time to put up my display (since I am not fighting daily migraines) so I ran all of the power cables very neatly and bundled up. Since the bundle of cords were run together there was a large amount of current there. Well the power cord for the CCR controllers was also in that bunch and I guess noise from the other cables was being induced into the CCR power cable. I ran a different power cord, in a different route and the random lights cleared up.So if you are experience random lights, don't only check and reroute the communication cables, CHECK YOUR POWER CABLES ALSO!!!I hope this helps somebody.
