Mark J. M. Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 It has been raining rather heavily the last few days, it is Oregon after all. So, it tripped the GCFI breakers. I cleaned up the plug connections and moved them higher off the ground or into a more protected locations. When I tried to restart the show the next night it was a no-go. No breaker trips at all. I am running off a DCMP3 director linked to the first controller a 1602W then out to 20 or so mostly PC gen 2 board with a few gen 3s. When I reset the MP3 director, the LEDs indicate a need to update the firmware. Seems strange since it was running fine prior to the breaker trip. I download the latest version, 4.20, and it now accepts the SD card. But now the 1602 wants an upgrade to its firmware. So, I upgrade to Blue 4.30. Downloads fine and is successful. When I connect the director unit it communicates to the 1602 fine. But when I connect the 1602 to the rest of the network, the 1602 LED indicates a need to update the firmware again.Do I have the wrong combination of firmware between the MP3 director and the 1602? Or do I need to go through the rest of my units and update their firmware? As a result of this issue there is no show right now. Thanks.
Mark J. M. Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 The show will not run at all. The first controller connected to the mp3 is waiting for a firmware update and does not respond to the MP3 Director. When I tried moving the MP3 director to another board, the test show started but none of the controllers down the line from the first ran. I also now have several channels with a faint glow. I am using all LEDs in my display.
Mark J. M. Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 Thank you. Will do. I have never run into this issue in the five years I have been using LOR equipment. Previously, using the home-built controllers I had, now those had many problems and were much more difficult to use.
