beeiilll Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 First off this is not an emergency or any rush!I have a D-Link DCS5300 IP camera that I want to stream my display to on my site (www.longlakelights.com) but I can't seem to get it to be found by any of the streaming services like Ustream or Justin TV and such.I also have tried WebcamXP but can't seem to get the video to play on the site?I do have a program from PKsoftware called Active Webcam that lets me put the video onto their server and view it through IE with no problem except that it is very grainy and looks terrible.I could use some direction (read help there) from anyone who has done this or knows how to get it to work.I would love to be able to take the signal from the camera as it is very clear and put it onto my site for people to watch this year if possible but I want to get it on at some point none the less even if not this year.I know how busy everybody gets at this time with their displays and the holiday so that is why I am willing to be patient. Thanks in advance for any help.Happy HolidaysBill
Greg Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I use ustream producer to do the encoding, have you tried that program?
JeffF Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Not sure if this will find your IP camera, but it works well for our USB camera...http://www.adobe.com/products/flash-media-encoder.htmlThen I use Ustream.tv to stream the video. There's a tutorial on UStream on how to setup Adobe Media Live Encoder to work with them... it's really simple.
n_gifford Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 YouTube has recently started rolling out live streaming. I believe it's still not available to everyone, but I know it's available on my account and I only upload about 5 videos a year.Go here for more information, or help to find out if you're able to use it: https://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2474026&topic=2474025&ctx=topic
