jay9158 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 why o why when you have spent loads on lights, putting stuff together, earning the dosh to pay for it all and the busiest time of year and LOR always runs out of stock when you most need it !!! and always seems to say we are waiting for info on stock delivery, maybe they should make it themselves or order more for our hungry appetites. and if its not them its UK customs playing with the gear for a month before they release it!!!!!!aaaarrrrggghhh looks like another LOR less XMAS

Then that problem wouldn't exist. 1
George Simmons Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Oh c'mon William, you know better than to think people would actually plan ahead for something... Other than complaining about complainers, what's to complain about when you've planned ahead for something that comes on the exact same day, in the exact same month, for every year of your entire life? Edited December 1, 2012 by George Simmons
Guest wbottomley Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Maybe they should buy a Mr. Christmas and call it a day. I guess the ignore list got a new entry.
james campbell Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 don't forget, they just had a big storm, you might have heard about. After Sandy I noticed a few things where out of stock,
Max-Paul Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Hey I did try to warn everyone about those try it for free. 8 weeks, ya in who's dream, right? Course there where the nea sayers trying to make me look like a crazy man. I suppose I get to wear the big grin now that all has been said and whined about. But on the other hand, got to give LOR some break with a storm like Sandy blowing things down. But on the other hand, anyone living or working on ground that is a mere 10 or 20' above mean sea level needs their head checked. Same for those who live or work below sea level like down in N.O.
Lights_on_light_st_ct Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 LOR's main office and Supply is in New York well there still having difficulties in NY due to old Sandy so try and be a mlittle more relaxed you'll get the stuff
jay9158 Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 ok ok wasnt trying to have a go, just venting some steam, No i didnt realize sandy affected LOR !not everybody in the UK does!. And i did plan ahead last year, bought loads of gear most has come ages ago but just so happens some bits been stuck in customs for no reason for weeks now, and yes three times now over 2 years i have tried to place an order and lor have been out of stock and with no date as to when they may have stock, not help full whens someone says they will buy you 4 controllers for your birthday which is a month away. and as still new to LOR and try for free and others did get caught out a bit,Cheers for info and reassurance just what i need at mo, EVER SO SORRY i keep me mouth shut next time lol
BryanZ Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Depends upon what you need and are searching for. LOR is great though they might be out of something or have delivery problems due to things beyond their control. Perhaps Ebay, Craigslist, this forum or Planet Christmas may be able to help you if you put up a post saying what you need. Just a thought.
Santas Helper Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Don't forget. There is a strike on the West Coast cargo docks. Items from China and other countries inbound there will be affected. Last i heard, 14 cargo ships. that's a bunch of stuff. So Sandy on the East coast, strikes on the West coast. Things are bound to be delayed.
Santas Helper Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 trying to make me look like a crazy man.Even so, MP, you're still a crazy man. J/K 1
Surfing4Dough Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I don't think Sandy can be blamed for much based on these comments from Dan:We were not hit hard at all here by Sandy. It was a non-event around here but for what ever reason we lost our high speed. I believe that everything will be back on track tomorrow. And unless you are waiting for the following items, I don't think Sandy is the culprit:Superstorm Sandy update: One of our manufacturers was directly in the path of Hurricane Sandy as it made shore in New Jersey, USA. We are still waiting on the arrival of ShowTime Directors (of all types) and iDMX1000 boards. Please bear with us on the delivery of these products as the area recovers.http://www.lightorama.com/
jay9158 Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 i am in need of four Dc controllers CMB16D and also a IDMX but this one could waite. but do not seem to even be able to place an order for these items. surely if people could place orders and put them on hold LOR would know how many and what people are after. cheers for all the info guess i'll just have to wait
Max-Paul Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Even so, MP, you're still a crazy man. J/KAnd dont you ever forget it either buddy. 1
