smeighan Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I have a prototyped a solution for having a horizontal target on Nutcracker. Before, I implement this I need to know how you have built your horizontal targets. If you need a horizontal matrix in Nutcracker, please reply to this post and answer the following questionsHow many strings and pixels? Example 16x50Where is string1, pixel 1 located? Example bottom left, top left, bottom right, top rightDo you fold your strings into multiple rows?Example: yes, 2 folds per string. If the folds dont produce an even division, what do you do with the extra pixels?Example: 8x50 folded 3 times would make each string into 3 rows (48 pixels) with 2 left over.Answers: could be, i cutoff the extra pixels, i continue wrapping them causing pixel 1 of the next string to start to move along the target.with these questions, i think i can get some of you a horizontal matrix target this week.thanks
WilliamS Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) 32 wide 15 tall is what I have now. 3 strings 4 folds Each string is 160 pixels long the layout is folds. Edited November 27, 2012 by GoofyGuy
ChristmasCanada Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I'm very interested in this Nutcracker program. I basically have a matrix of 16 x 50 pixel strips running on a mega tree using the E682. Superstar has made the sequencing much faster but is restricted to 24 CCRs and the layout options are not yet available. Can someone provide me with a link to some more information on Nutcracker.?

big_dog_501 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Sean, I am planning to do a horizontal matrix for 2013. 8 strings of 150 pixels folded two times each to give a 24X50 horizontal grid with the first pixel at the bottom left. It looks like you have not received too many requests for this type of target yet. Hopefully more will come in as the year goes by. I would like to program most of my effects using Nutcracker so any work you do in this area would be much appreciated.
Crazydave Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) I was planning on a 16 x 50 horizontal matrix. (using the standard 50 pixel strip) No folds.I will need to double check on configuration I think I did it left to right top to bottom, but I will check this weekend.I basically just need to be able to work with it in Superstar and your nutcracker.
