mmais68569 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I purchased an upgrade to S3 & I have an advanced license which allows me to add 240 controllers. What do I need to run in DMX says my license does not support DMX. Mike
WilliamS Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Save yourself this same question next year when you jump into 1.31 as well. Get the Advanced license now and save the time later. There more than just channels and protocols that come in the advanced package. I made the rookie mistake year 1 with a basic plus, and this year I required the Advanced. This is a long term addiction get what will see you to the end.
Don Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Mike,Since you've already upgraded, you might need to close and re-open all LOR programs for the upgrade to take effect. Also, if you purchased from a different email address than your software is registered to, then the upgrade won't be applied to your current license. Open your Sequence Editor, does it say 3.x.0 Advanced?
scubado Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 You should have DMX support with advanced level. If you're looking at the comparison chart, I think it's old, because you don't need iDMX.
mmais68569 Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 Problem solved had to restart. Mike
Jethro Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I have basic plus, the comparison chart says I should be able to run DMX!but in the preference tab The DMX is not highlited!Help
LOR Staff Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 It says you can run DMX, but only with the iDMX adapter. Do you have an iDMX adapter? If you want to run native DMX, you need the Advanced software.
