avsphan Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 So the timer for my inflatable quit on me and I decided to cut a channel and make it always on with a background sequence. When I tried it out, it works fine during the songs, but when the song ends Santa goes down. I tried un-checking the turn used lights off checkbox, but it didn't seem to work. Right now I'm headed out to unplug Santa until I get a new timer...
Don Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Almost sounds as if the channel that Santa is connected to is defined in one of your sequences.(For everyone) When using a channel for a background sequence, you should not have it configured in your regular sequences. To put another way, if you look at the Channel Configuration screen, that channel shouldn't even be in there. Otherwise, you will have conflicting commands going to the channel(s) in question.
avsphan Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 I went through and cleared the channel, did not delete the channel, will try that, thanks!!
alchrisr01 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 May I also suggest that you put a relay on the inflatable. I seem to recall reading here that the controller triacs don't like motors and it would be a shame to loose a channel as well.Chris
