Hello

My name is Manfred , i came from Austria ( europe ) . i like all the xmas videos i found in net , so i was thinking to do it on my self.

So i startet a few years ago , and every year it became more.

This year i bought the LOR S3 Soft and want to controll my lights with music over DMX.

What i dont was thinking before is , that i have some channels that should not be includet in the musik shows, but the should also work between the musics.

I want to do it like this , i hope its possible :

some channels should do a musik show with a short opener ,runing every half an hour

between the music all channels should light an made some small changes ,

Is this possible ?

Must i record a "Show" where all channels included for the time between the musics ?

Whats the easyest way to record musics , to do it handsome each second , or per musicbeat

Can this be automatic ?

I hope someone can give me some answers

and sorry for my bad english

regards from Austria

Is there nobody who cann help me ?

If I follow what your saying, I think this is possible, I believe they call them filler sequences. How you go about having no music is a bit beyond my knowledge but it should be possible. As for having specific lights on at specific times I don't see why not.

Welcome aboard, nice display, the answers to your questions are yes and yes, create an animation sequence for all lights on no music required, then make your new musical sequence that you program you have a nice display shouldn't take much to rework some free sequences and do what you are trying to do.

Welcome to the US and to the forum!

Looking at your current display, DMX isn't going to work with your lights. DMX is used with low voltage RGB lighting for the most part. The LOR controllers would be the better option for your current lighting.

Hello

Thank you all for your answers.

If i understood this for correctly , i have to programm a animation sequence for the time between the musicshow

My Lights are running over DMX since there beginning , i have things on 12 V DC , 24 V AC and DC , 110V Ac and 220V AC . they are controlled over dimmers , switches and other controllers.

But it was only a little chase witch was played over a DMX-Recorder.

Now it should be controlled with music.

I looked a lot of Videos they are here in Forum and on youtube to understand how to do the programming of LOR.

I think there will be a lot of questions in the next time

Best wishes from Austria

yes you will need an animation sequence between shows, but that will only be for lights, no music. if you want some music there, either a regular song or you'll can to use audacity (or similar) to cut your own, then you can make a show and use very basic sequencing during that part. this is what i do, using voice overs / psa's from the demented elf. this works for me, just another idea for you and welcome to the madness. please understand that this is when we are all getting ready for and running our shows and everyone gets really busy so it may take sometime for answers. again welcome and remember to have fun

Hallo Chip

Ok so i will do a animation sequence for example for 30sek an loop it .Must this be exactly timed ? the time from the opener added with time of music sequence for ex is 4:52 has the animation than be timed at 24:08 exactly or will the start from the opener sequence override the animation ?

Do you know what i mean ?
