OK just went to the store and about cried when I had to pay $61 for 6 cords (4x40, 2x20).

I've read several post on here about spt -1 and 2, and it talked about thickness and vampire connectors.

My question is if you had to do it all over again which vendor would you use to buy 1000 feet of cord with the plugs.

I wish Lowe's would sell 100 foot pieces of the wire that they use on their 100 bulb mins, that is rated at 2 amps for $2.69.

I Buy my SPT from Surplus sales in Orlando FL and my plugs from Home Depot on line only.

I got all mine from WLC Ventures. First time this year and it was so worth it. I have plenty of wire still but only a few plugs. I could have made more cords, but had all the 25' orange ones I had been using previously that I couldn't see just sitting in a tub.

Too bad you didn't go to Menards, usually the best place to buy cords locally.

Fleet farm by us had all their cords on sale.... $2.49 for an 8 footer. which is what i needed for the new spiral tree. and 20 footers for $3.89 or somewhere around there. Your local Walmart should have 100 footers for @ $16-17. I usually keep an eye on sales throughout the year. Can catch some good ones throughout the year. And its alot easier to get sneak new cords past the better half that way. $10-15 here and $10-15 there is alot better then $60 all at once...lol
