chowell
My original leaping arches were 16'. I am building 3 new CCR arches from 3 ribbons. Should I put the 3/4" PVC in place in the yard at the bend they will be at, then attach the ribbon, or can I attach the ribbon while the PVC is lying on the ground flat? I can maybe foresee some issues with it stretching when it bends??? What are your experiences? Thanks in advance.Corey
wrohdejr
I just did my 16 foot arch today. It is easier to attach the ccr after your arch is bent. If you attach the ribbon on a straight pipe and then bend it you could damage the ribbon.
LightsinMaine
I use mine as (2) 8' arches....I set rebar in the ground at angle then place 3/4" grey PVC (7'0 apart give a nice bend when doing 8' arches). I then attach my ribbon. I probably wouldn't suggest zip-tying then bending the PVC.....but thats just me.
drakison
Same here, did 4 16 ft arches last year, then 4 16 foot circles this year. Put them on after the bend...works so much easier.
