output fuses

hi all, has anybody fitted output fuses to the 16 channel diy kits to protect triacs from overload or short outs. thinking of adding them to my new kits as i had a dmaged cable last year that took a triac out and thought this would solve issue. any ideas

I think the consensus is that the triacs are just as likely to blow as the fuse is, in case of a direct short (which is the most common case of dead triacs). If you wanted to add them for overload protection, that might be more viable.
