shfr26 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Just to let you know that is dangerous only buying the amount you think you need in SPT items. I just gota nother 2000' of wire and 50 more each male and female ends. This is after a purchas of 3000' of wire and 160 each male and female. SPT is like candy you can never have enough. Why so much SPT wire?? I thought you spent 2 grand on electrical to get controllers out in the area of the display??
dusty72 Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 Wow... and I was thinking 16 channels is a handful I am thinking the first controller hooks you and has that special touch to make you display bigger and better each year! This is my kinda hobby. (addiction)
GaryM Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 I have 160 channels plus. the electrical work was to get outlets around the yard. so now the controllers are closer. cannot imagin what it would be like if I had to go from the house. You have to understand we have a tree that is 40' in diameter and I put about 8000 lights on the roots with 9+ channels. just to get the wire around to proper places took many feet. You would have to see the layout to understand. And I am not sure I will need it all but am just prepared. So 90-something channels on just the tree? More than half of your total?
MikeA Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 this is where I get them 50¢ a piece.http://www.holidaytechnologies.com/catalog/category.php?id_category=12
dusty72 Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 Thanks MikeA... ordered yesterday... now waiting for the brown toy delivery truck
GaryM Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Yea, we all know where to go to see the tree.So 9 channels, 8000 lights on those 9 channels?
Guest wbottomley Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I am either going to 25 channels next year or floods to shine up the tree. not sure yet.So Paul... what's holding you back this year?
