Chris B Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Pretty new to this stuff so bear with me, actually first year and starting with 7 g3 controllers and 1 dc for my rgb strips. Anyways, setting up my schedule and running tests in my family room. On controller 4 i am using 120volt relays off of the last 4 channles 13-16. These are set up for my inflatables so they come on with the rest of the system under the backround tab. I made a sequence with always on channels for those channels and they don't seem to follow what i read in the lor manual. I was under the assumption that the backround section would always be running upon startup. However mine is not. It turns off after the startup section and then starts again to late into the first sequence musical and turns off after every sequence and restarts. My fix around it was to just add full on channels to all of my sequences on those respective channels. Problem is i want a 10 second delay between sequences but this currently allows my inflatables to deflate. So i had to make my delay zero between sequences which i dont like. I would also like the beginning of the show to have a delay to give the inflatables a chance to inflate before moving into the startup section. Any thoughts are welcomed and sorry for the scatter brained post but I am at work and should be working!
dstevens Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Any channels used in your background sequences cannot be used in any other sequences in the show. If they are, then you can get unexpected behavior.
Aaron Maue Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Any channels used in your background sequences cannot be used in any other sequences in the show. Steven Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Any channels used in your background sequences cannot be used in any other sequences in the show. If they are, then you can get unexpected behavior. In case this isn't clear, "cannot be used" means "cannot exist in the (other) sequence(s) at all, even if it is never turned on."In other words, "off" is a valid command for a channel, and "on" does not have priority over "off". The controller will respond to the last command received. When I sequence starts, commands are sent to all the channels in the sequence, including those that start "off."
Chris B Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Everyone, thank you very much! After the last explanation it has become perfectly clear. Thanks again! Chris

Chris B Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Again thanks guys, just finished going through all of my sequences and deleting the specified channels. Re-set up the backround schedule tab and will be shortly testing. Chris
