ItsMeBobO
New versions of both Vegomatic and Marquee today. Now you can store settings for multiple matrix setups and get all the settings back. This allows you to quickly switch between them. In Marquee image capture and text scrolling tool you can now specify much larger color chases and have more control on the settings. You can if you wish have no transition fades between colors. Now the background on animated gif captures can move with a color chase. This adds several new ways to create a scene with a scrolling or animated gif.http://itsmebob.com/...esAllowZero.avi
ItsMeBobO
The wrong link was posted. The above no longer works. Please use this one. http://itsmebob.com/Christmas/2012/MarqueeFadesAllowZero.wmv
BillyT
When I go to open marquee builder I get an error that says Argument 'Path' is Nothing or empty.
BillyT
I think I got this figured out (at least I don't get the error anymore), but now I can't find the file created when I generate the marquee. ItsMeBobO
The output is a clipboard file. In SE you click 'load clipboard' and select the fle there. It will have the name of the image it was extracted from. Or you can sort by date descending and it will the one on top. BillyT
Nope.... it's not getting written to the disc.... I've looked all over for it. I'm doing plenty of other stuff with files in that directory (nutcracker), so I"m sure it's not a permissions thing. The prgram shows that it's writing, but I can't find any file. Where does it get the file name from? If it's from the name of the graphic, what if that name's already been used?
ItsMeBobO
The only place Marquee writes to is the clipboard folder. The name is the name of the image being extracted plus _Marquee. It gets overwritten if you create another, so if you think you need to save it you rename it so it does not get overwritten. The Generate takes several seconds or much longer to generate a clipboard, especially if the number of frames is large. So if the process ends quickly something is going wrong. Are there any start up error messages which popped up?
BillyT
no error messages now (there were when i ran the program from a desktop folder). It takes quite a while for it to complete the writing, but it appears to function normally (just no output file).
BillyT
when I was running marquee builder, I was looking for the date of the output file to be updated. I made a copy of the graphic I was using and gave it a different name, output file worked that way. I'm sure the file date should have updated, but I never opened the file to see if it was different. TitanBry77
I can not for my life figure out the clipboard flipper. I have some long color fades just as a non-show loop, and I'd like to just copy and flip them so the colors are alternated. Am I trying to do something the tool doesn't do? It seems maybe its used for CCR stuff?
ItsMeBobO
You had me scared for a minute that I broke some of the clipboard flipper code when adding the other new Marquee features. But it checked out ok. First save the area you want to flip in SE and name the clipboard. Open that clipboard file in Clipboard flipper. Set your flip options. Save the translated clipboard. Open that clipboard in SE. If its a new name select load clipboard, or just reload it if its already on your screen. Be sure to select the new clipboard.. then paste it in.http://itsmebob.com/...flipperdemo.wmv Edited October 23, 2012 by ItsMeBobO
