You will want to make sure you set it to the LOR (and not DMX) address 02. There are some basic instructions there on the controller.I'm going to guess you run your show from the computer, so you know how to connect the computer to your first controller. To connect the new controller you need only to connect a CAT5 cable from the first controller to your second (new) controller.

ThanksOnce you set the address on the controller, you are done. Opening the Hardware Utility isn't necessary to set the address and add the controller to your network. Don't worry about it for now.Set the address, and add the controller to your sequences, which is sounds like you have done. That's it. Nothing more to do. The address is set, and the controller is ready to go.

Santas Helper
Did you test with a sequence? If so, did you add the second controller to your channels in that sequence? As Don mentioned earlier, don't worry about the HU right now (if that's what you used to test). I've added several controllers in the past couple years and have never used the HU to confirm connection.Add the second controller to your sequence (channels for that controller, connect power and cat5 cable and you should be able to play.Let me ask, does the red LED blink or stay on when connected and running a sequence? trinidad
Hello Santas Helper - thanks - i see, well i have spent a long hours last week and this week trying to figure it out, but i can not make it work. Yesterday, the second controller was doing the samething that the first controller was doing. I am going to try it again today following Don and your suggestion without using the HU. My question to all of you is -all my sequences were done based on my first 16 channel id 01. I did all my sequences from 01:1 to 01:16. Now how do I add the other 16 channels of my second controller ID 02? should they be 02.17? or should they be 02.01? Please guide me on this. I want my second controller to animate a Christmas tree, but both controllers working at the same time. PLEASE

Santas Helper
You can assign all 16 channels at one time to controller ID02 (or what ever), then you can relabel each channel as you want.First: Right click on last existing channel, then...1. Click "Insert multiple channels below", it will ask how many channels. choose 162. Right click on first new channel, assign new controller ID. it will ask if you want to "autopopulate channels" and will let you put in how many up to 16. Choose 16 channels. Now all your new channels are assigned to the new controller.3. Right click each channel if you want to label them. This is not needed but helps you identify what each channel is. At this time, go ahead and change the color of each channel to what color you want it to be.I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm out in left field on this. But what I have explained is how I do it. Edited September 27, 2012 by Santas Helper
