milateket Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 What would be a fair price to pay for used blow molds that are in good to very good condition? Thanks
Surfing4Dough Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 You might find more answers and discussions on PlanetChristmas regarding that topic since that seems to be where more people talk about, share photos of, and discuss the value of each others' BM's.http://forums.planetchristmas.com/index.php?/forum/6-blow-molds/
milateket Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) So, $35 for three is a good deal then? And thanks for the links. Edited September 19, 2012 by milateket
Tim Fischer Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 We'd need much more detail. It's sort of like asking "how much does a good house cost"? Some molds go for hundreds (maybe thousands), others mere dollars.
ErnieHorning Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 A fair price is pretty much what you’re happy with paying. I know some people that would think nothing in paying $100 or more for an old blowmold. A few years ago, I was able to find several for only a buck or two, not anymore. Typical for common blowmolds in my area is 20 to 30 dollars apiece. It’s also common to see blowmolds going for a lot more than they’re worth. Typically people that are just trying to get rid of them at a garage sale, will unknowingly use E-Bay as a price reference.Don’t be afraid to make an offer. Many times a seller will meet or counter your offer with a higher but lower than the original price.
