Requesting Halloween Movie Theme Sequence

Does anyone have a sequence for the theme from the Halloween (John Carpenter) movie that they would care to share with a fledgling newbie. I've tried pulling a few off of the free download sites, however they seem to be out of sync when I apply the Halloween soundtrack theme. I've tried skewing the sequence to match it up with the soundtrack, but it does not ever seem to cleanly sync up. I'm wondering if the very fast beat of the music is part of the problem. I've tried building my own sequence, but the have not been able to master keeping up with beat in the music. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you download a sequence you need to contact that individual to determine the source of their soundtrack. A lot of folks on here will download something from iTunes, shorten it and convert it to 128kps, and then use it in their sequence. If you don't do exactly that you will spend pretty much the rest of your natural life trying to make there sequence work.

Sounds to me your MP3 file is in VBR format. VBR does not work well with the LOR SE. It needs to be converted to CBR. Many use Audacity, a free audio editor to do this. They also use 128kbps, I myself use 192kbps, just sounds better to me and I've had no issues with that rate.

The only other issue could be the person that created the swquence did not use the same exact file you have, or if they did, they may have edited {customized} by removing some areas of the song or shortened it, then your version may not match up exactly and some tweaking would have to be done to the sequence, but unfortunately most often the sequence and MP3 file may never exactluy match up because you have no idea where they made the cut{s} or edit{s} to the MP3 they used.

Those are about the only two criteria I know of that will usually cause the issues you're having. If you can contact the original sequencer that created it, they could tell you more about which version MP3 file they used, wether or not it had been customized {edited} in some fashion.

Good Luck and welcome to the hobby.
