George Simmons
In the Hardware Utility CCB Configuration screen there's a checkbox for "CCB Color Correction".What does this do and/or what's it for? Also, I don't understand the functional differences/benefits between configuring the 100-bulb CCB as a single device or as two consecutive unit IDs.Thanks Edited September 2, 2012 by George Simmons
ainsworth
I looked and looked for a reference to ccb color correction in the help files; the only one I found was "In SuperStar, exported CCR sequences have the RGB values "balanced" so that the colors on the actual CCRs match the colors on your computer screen (think of this as a color correction made to the RGB values). This was being done when in CCR mode, but when in visualization mode, exported CCRs were not having their RGB values balanced." I have yet to get my CCPs, so I really don't know if this is the answer to your question or not. When I asked the help desk a few months back about the difference between 1-100 bulb and 2-50 bulb devices (since I couldn't do 1-100 bulb in the visualizer) I was told there is no functional difference. I set up configuration files both way just in case, but I have been doing all my sequencing with 2-50 bulb devices. Once I get my CCP I will test both and see if I got an accurate answer. WayneKremer
It sure would be nice to have color correction on all Cosmic Color devices! To go off and manually change the RGB down from 100% values to get a warm white would be a nightmare. S3 should have a built in feature to auto-balance them....
