griswald
Ok, this might be a really dumb question, but remember, I'm a Newb. :-)A number of folks have recommended using SPT wire to make extension cords and I like that idea since it's much cheaper. However, I'm wondering about ground.....the cords on the LOR controller are 3 pronged, so should the extension cords be 3 pronged as well, or is all the grounding handled by the controller? Donny M. Carter
The cords on most lights are only two wire! The ground hole would be left open anyway.
Scott Cockroft
Most of the lights that you will be pluging in to the controllers will not have even have a ground on them. you only need a grounded extention cord if the item you are plugging into the cord has a ground on it. Max-Paul
An example that comes to my mind where a cord with the ground might be needed is a puffer with a blower motor. Puffer is slang for blow up.
TGabriel
I have never seen a three prong plug on Christmas lights.
