steve synek
I spent some time on this and hope it works to keep my roof LEDs from being covered in snow..................maybe some part of it will give you an idea!!!!https://picasaweb.google.com/107186290187585278264/SteveSSnowShoes#5782634241893229346Steve
k6ccc
If you have that much snow on the roof, I have an easy answer - MOVE to someplace warmer OK, if you insist in living in snow, that ought to help keep them from being buried.

steve synek
I am very happy with my results. My 15 ft radius Marty fan on the roof made out of LED lights did not get covered in our current 6 inches of snow. One single rope held the whole thing in place. You can see pics before the snow hit at the very end of the slides if your interested.Steve
TonyD
Any video of the fan in action?(it looks awesome, BTW)!! Edited December 28, 2012 by TonyD
scubado
Very nice work! But only one rope? What if a squirrel chews it? A little redundancy goes a long ways. I learned raising monster fish to have more than one of everything. Fish or Mother Nature will find something you didn't think of. Just sayin. Can't wait to see the video!Just noticed this thread started in August, did the rope hold up?
steve synek
Working on the video. Friction was/ is my first line of defense..........I do have a low slope roof 4/12 pitch and nothing seemed to move. My third line of defense was a few zip ties to the ridge vent. So if it goes, I will have other issues!!! We did get some good old Cleveland weather with wind blowing through here and all is well.
