dcphipps Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I am thinking of getting a second computer to free up my lap top, I would like to use the same email address. What will I have to do?I was going to use and older one, with winxp, but it would not let me use my email to register it. So now that I decided to get a new computer with 'Win 7 I will have to register with LOR.
Steven Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 It should just work. Can you post more details? Such as the exact text of the error you get when you attempt to register the 2nd computer?
TJ Hvasta Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 (edited) Are you refering to registering it once LOR is installed? I'm guessing there's no way to plug it in next to your router, hardwire a cat5 cable to it, get online (do whatever patches you may have to) and register LOR with the key you used on the laptop? Once its registered, you wont need to again. Alternatively, get a USB wifi dongle, plug it in the old XP computer, connect to your router, allows you to register and even get your email. If you already registered S2/S3 on your laptop, thats your customer ID, so you'd use that. Edited August 28, 2012 by TJ Hvasta
dcphipps Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 I have LOR installed, I keep the computer in the basement far away from the laptop, I will try it againThanks
Chris Hargis Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 You can just write down the liscense and type it in on the second computer for LOR. I have LOR installed on 4 different computers here. I have our main family computer inside the house, a laptop, and my show computer in my studio, along with a new studio computer. They are all running LOR with a single liscense. You can set up both computers to get the same e-mail, so that should not be a problem either.
