Ted W
My second year, far from good, but much better than last year. I just got 2 more LOR controller to run arches. I know how to make them chase, how do I get water jumping effect? Am I fading one set into the next?
TJ Hvasta
Its the same as a Chase.. Make the first cell a On/Off, then drag the Chase effect to the last cell. It'll look like a jet of water. You can try it with a Fade Down too..

TJ Hvasta
hahahaha! dobre' jeden, Joe !!Ok.. making a chase is very easy.. start with the first (sleeve) channel.. click on the On (or Fade Off button.. click a couple boxes where you want the chase to start (say, click and drag across 4 boxes).. then, click the Chase button.. thats the one that looks like "several folders" just to the right of the On/Off buttons.. now, click and hold those same channel boxes you tuned On, drag the mouse down and to the right the number of sleeves you have, ie: if an 8 channel arch, drag down 8 rows.. release.. it should create a set of "steps" down to the right.. that is your chase. A reminder here.. if any of these steps touch another box thats on, it makes one big block.. so you may have to make a chase in small (2 or 3 row) increments.. The LOR Website, and top of the forums here have very good video tuts on a lot of S3 helps.. http://www.lightoram...orialLinks.htmlLook under: Different Effects in the Sequence Editor instant gratification from :15 to 1:00 Edited August 18, 2012 by TJ Hvasta

I did know how to do the chase methods you pointed out.I should have been more to the OP's Question about the looking like water thing. I took it as how some of the folks in the past added an extra channel to the arches. It would be where the arches hit the ground. They coiled a set of lights on the ground and when they sequenced the arches adding the extra coil of lights it looked like a splash. Hope you can get an understanding of what I am talking about. I could be wrong about this. Joe
gtoyeah
Joe, You are perfectly correct. I personally have not done it however, a friend of mine did the same thing. He used 8 channels per arch then added another 8 more channels to create a water affect as it was draining the yard. I tried to draw a picture in "paint" I hope this helps. Sorry for the large image. Im working on posting photos. Once the "water" is off of the arch and hits the ground, make the lights twinkle. I'll see if I can get a video for you. TJ Hvasta
Ni, I get it.. seen it several times.. A pool it splashes into.. or stream for run-off.. I've seen several videos of just a running stream made with twinkle lights.. and I've seen a "pool/pond" on the last arch segment, but not plugged into the last segment, as it would splash then run up the arch if the chase was right-to-left..
