Allen Walterman Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I just recieved my first CCR this week. I had already been programing the CCR's on sequences I used last year. I was able to hook up the CCR, played with it throught the quick start guide and then played the sequence I had already made. To my suprise it worked...except the first 15 pixels, did what they wanted on thier own.I then started a new annimation sequence and everything did what I wanted it to do.Any suggestions on what to look for.I am using sequence editor 2.8.8thanksAllen
Don Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 When theixels are doing their own thing, are you connected to the CCR contoller via the USB adapter, or when the CCR controller is by itself? Almost sounds as if you might have downloaded a stand-alone sequence to the controller, thus its playing that. Try doing a reset on the controller (push/hold the rest button while powering on) to clear it out.
Allen Walterman Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 The CCR is plugged into the USB adapter and running by itself. I did a reset and still the same result.Allen
Don Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Hmm. The CCR controller has to be getting commands from somewhere. If you've reset the controller and the 15 pixels are still going, any chance you have your shows enabled, and a show set to run?Any conflicts in your sequence? In other words, do you have two units configured with the "01" address? That could cause the problems you are seeing here.
Don Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Just re-read your original post. I bet its a unit ID conflict. You stated that you were already programming CCR's on sequences you used last year. That being the case, I'm guessing that 01 is configured twice. Change the address of the CCR controller via the Hardware Utility, and don't forget to change the unit ID in the sequence editor. That should resolve the problem.
Dennis Cherry Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 What unit ID is the CCB set too?Are you usng the LOR Protocol or DMX? It makes a difference.
Allen Walterman Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 Thanks, the unit was named CCR01. I already have 8 LOR units on this sequence named 01-08. When I started renaming the CCR to 10 it worked right. Now do I have to go in manually change each one or is there an easier way.Allen
Don Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 There is an easier way. Let me get to a computer to type it out, though.
Don Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Well, disregard. I just remembered that the "Change Controller" feature didn't come out until V3.0.0.I also don't recall if 2.8.8 let you remove/add a device. If so, you could add a new CCR, copy the events to it, and then remove the old one.If that's not available, send me a PM. I'll get it changed over for you.
