rednosetbird Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Looking to use parts of someones sequence. how do you find out what the timing is?cant seem to figure it out.I have copy and pasted to my grid and some how it wont match up I think this is the problem.
Don Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I forget where the default location is, as I've moved mine around. However, the is a button called "Timings" and next to that a drop-down menu selection. The drop-down menu will let you choose between the timing grids stored with that sequence. You can also go to Edit -> Timings -> Switch Timing Grid to choose between the timing grids (and tracks it would seem.)

Or by time? Assuming you have the right audio file, if you paste by time, the timing grid won't matter.

George Simmons Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Paste by time is the way to go. To make things line up, you need to insert a timing mark (right-click, insert timing at...) into your sequence at the EXACT same time as the first lighting event occurs in the donor sequence. Copy from that point to the end in the donor sequence and paste at that precise time in your new sequence.
