Guest Don Gillespie Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I was just looking at the forum and was wondering how the goofy guy became a beta tester, I have never seen one of his videos, as a matter of fact I haven't seen anything from him so to become a beta tesater you just have ask a whole bunch to become one ??
Don Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Since Dan is the one who approves the Beta Testers, you might get more of a reply if you contact him directly (or via lightorama.com/support)
LOR Staff Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Dan is the final word when it comes to Beta Testers. With that said, William (GoofyGuy) has skills or other qualities that made him a valuable asset - just like the other Beta Testers that we have.
LightORamaDan Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 As stated, I pick the beta testers. There are a number of different reasons why I pick a particular person. For example when we selected the initial group, I picked people because of the LOR hardware they had, the OS they were using on their PCs, their experience with the LOR software and in some cases their total lack of experience with the LOR software. Sometimes a person with no experience helps pick out bugs that the experienced people miss because "they know better" than to try somethingRecently most people were picked because of hardware that they were using. So as to the original question being a beta tester in no way is an indicator of a persons skill level. Dan
