Im excited that I get a personal tour of the disneys fantasys theater that has the latest rgb strips, nodes ect. They have over 200k individual addresses for the shows. More stuff then I could imagine. I want the entire theater. Wonder if I can get it all off the ship. The d lounge has a very cool rgb wall all around the room. I will see if I can video the booth and demo they plan on giving me. Typing on phone will upload some pics before we leave port.

Brian, how was this arranged?  Very cool!

I asked the ships officers if I could get tour. Said I was in group that lights up our houses to disney music. Disney cruises do what they can to make the guests wishes come true. Cant wait to play with the system.

That sounds like a cool tour. 200k addresses! I would love to see the background to that. Get a video of it in motion as I imagine the effects have to be subtle but noticable.

Sounds like a sting operation...I think this is how the all-powerful Disney apprehends those that use their copyrighted music without permission. I wonder if they will let you hang up some Christmas lights in your jail cell Brian?

That sounds like it will be great to play with!

There is a tip in there. If you are doing something involving a Disney facility drop a hint that there is something special about it and you might be surprised what happens. Quite a few years ago my wife and I spent the weekend in the Disneyland Hotel for one of our wedding anniversaries. I mentioned that as I was making the hotel reservation. When we checked in, the desk clerk said, "I see you are here for your anniversary". I replied yes. She then told us that because of that she was upgrading our room - to the Presidential suite. The room was darn near as big as our house with 3 balconies on two different sides of the building. Gotta admit, it was nice!

I just got off the Disney Wonder cruise to Alaska on Monday. Even this 10 year old ship is pretty cool (was on the Dream last year).

Sorry, It was on the ship with no way to reply. Then saturday we docked in the u.s. right to an 18 hour drive with only 3 stops for gas, food and lav. Rolling in at 1am then up this morning uploading pics video to pc. Trying to get info out of my head right now is spinning. Disney wouldn't allow me to take any photo's of their equipment but it was way cool.

I did get some snap shots of other parts of the ship that had rgb's ect. I think about 80% of the ship was rgb's. I suck at spelling and grammer so I am going to write this in MS word first. LOL.

The video screen that was on the deck of the ship is 1.5 million rgb nodes that work off of a servers that is right below deck. I would say the rack was about 30 feet long. All the serves right below ran all the stateroom tv's, on demand video, the lighting in the dinning area's and the above deck lighing. The rest of the lights on deck are 100% rgb's that would change during the shows, during the night, not for sure if they had it set on a time to change. Here is a pic of the video screen and some surrounding lights . Most of the pics I have to make smaller because of the 2meg limit on lor.

Animator's Palace is 95% RGB's From the light in the ceiling to the designs in the floors. The animals in the floors would change colors. The Enchanted Garden would also change color as the night went along. I would say about 90% was RGB's in there. I have a few pics that shows the different lighting in both places.

The Enchanted Garden would change from clear sky to a pink/purple to dark blue. Like a night sky changing from day to night. The flowers would open up and change colors.
