Unit and circuit question

I understand unit numbers, but as far a circuit numbers go, can I have a Unit 3 Circuit 1 and a unit 2 circuit 1? Right now I have it set at unit 1 is circuit 1-16, unit 2 is circuit 17-32 and unit 3 is circuit 33-48. Should it be that or
Unit 1 circuits 1-16
Unit 2 circuits 1-16
Unit 3 circuits 1-16

It's not clear in the help! Thank you!

I use unit 1 channels 1-16

unit 2 channels 1-16

and so on. That's if you mean circuits as channels.

From a technical standpoint the controllers have only 16 channels each. When configuring them in the Sequence Editor, you would configure them as Unit 1 1-6, Unit 2 1-16, etc.

From a "What works for you" standpoint ... you could set it up either way.
