CCP Lead Wire Question

I ordered a couple CCP during the sale. I thought I read there were four foot leaders from the first CCP to the controller. I found other information that looks like it is two feet.

My question is can I extend these leaders by splicing in extra wire? I need to go about 16' between the first pixel on each string.

My understanding is the lead wire is limited in length to prevent signal problems. Not only will it void the warranty if you cut and extend, but it may not work. LOR John is the guy to answer this question accurately, but until then I suggest you think about a plan to place your controllers with the lights.

Ah yes, better location would be good but doesn't work. Better planning next time!

Lor responded but not definitive on if I could extend the leader with no I'll effects. They say the ccb and ccp ren at a fast rate so it may cause problems.
