Last night I dreamed about my display

This is not the usual place for psychological babble, but last night I had a dream:

I came home to find a friend watching my display. He knew where to reset the GFCI, so when he came back to the sidewalk, I asked him about the pixel array I had on the 2nd story roof, showing an animation (as in "Deck the Halls"). [in reality, I have neither a pixel array nor a 2nd story roof, although I am adding more RGB strips and DMX this year.]

He completely ignored the array, and mentioned the display would be better with more "traditional" lights.

well in five years or so,rgb lights and pixels will be traditional lights

The real question though...

did you fall off your imaginary 2nd story roof?

Happens to me all the time...

That's the EXACT reason I was so hesitant to start using RGB stuff...didn't want to get away from the "traditional" look of REAL Christmas lights!!

But I guess one could argue that went out the window when I only used LED's, huh?

Your dream has flaws. Using low voltage pixels will not give you GFCI issues even in the rain and snow unless the power supply had problems :D

I didnt realize LOR put back the edit post feature :) so my correction is of no value.
Erotic dreams of lighting is one of the symptoms of CLAP (Christmas Lighting Addiction Problem)and we all suffer from it. Im sure you also value currency in terms of blinky as well.:D

Careful - sounds like your GFCI might be ready to pop off...

Or would this be a wet one that DOESN'T pop your GFCI???

So, how many channels of lights did you use to decorate those half-way houses? HALF the normal amount of channels?
