sharpsvillelights
I have been planning to buy several CCR's and use the showtime software to program. Was unaware of the CCPixel 100 until I saw them in the Annual sale add. I have the following questions.1. Do the CCPixel 100 use the showtime software to program.2. How seasoned is the CCPixel product.3. What would be the benefits of using one over the other.4. What is everyone's preference.
sharpsvillelights
Jeff,Thanks so much for the info. Sounds like the CCR is what I am going with since I will use it on arches and megatree. I understand that teh CCPixel is good for coro displays or windows where you will bend it around alot.
Redbirdruss
I am going to use the CCP's on a "Mega-Wreath" this year. Wrapping the Wreath in lights made it very heavy and the CCR wasn't flexible enough. I'll let you know how it performs when I recieve my order. RaceMedic
Jeff ....I think it was your photo that I saw with the CCRs being used to make arches and green framed trees in the background ?!If so ... how do you store the CCRs in the offseason ?!Do you reroll them or leave them on the arches.I have mixed concerns about how fragile the CCRs can be and should not be manipulated too much. Thanks for any feedback !Dave
k6ccc
I have been waiting for the CCBs to arrive and am glad that they were in the sale. I bought 3 CCP strings in the sale and expect to use them in arches. In my opinion, one of the advantages of the pixels is the ability to change the spacing to meet your particular needs. For example, if I need a 10 foot arch segments, with pixels, I can use a 50 pixels string per arch and space the pixels just under 2 1/2 inches apart to evenly fill the arch. If I then decide to add 2 feet to each arch because the 10 foot arches just didn't look right, I just add 2 feet of PVC, and spread out the pixels a little. The worst it takes is cutting a bunch of Ty-Raps and a little time.
sharpsvillelights
Well I missed out on the sale. Had 6 CCR's in my basket and when I checked out at 9:03 they were all gone. My next opportunity will be the June sale. Now I am rethinking if I should go with the CCB's. I would like to use them in a mega tree much like the following. http://forums.planetchristmas.com/index.php?/topic/49542-huge-crowd-all-i-want-for-christmas-mariah/Would l be better off with the CCR or CCB.
