The first one Richard Holdman either did or assisted with. I know he was very involved with the sequencing. The last one I saw as well and was done completely with the Stella equipment, but I don't remember who the person was that did it.

Nope, wrong title for these, not all of these are "Christmas" themed.

As far as I recall Cracker DID NOT do Christmas at all in 2011, he only did Halloween.

The first one was done for a Veteran's Holiday, again, NOT Christmas, so if they are basing these on "Christmas displays", somneone needs to get their facts straight first.

I know that first one was posted here on the LOR Forums some time back, but don't recall the thread, but don't think it was for Christmas, possibly may have been for New Years, but seem to recall it was some Veteran's holiday.

The last one, can't say about that one, but if I were a judge voting on a "Christmas Themed Display", it would require the music to be something of a Christmas nature, guess I'm just a bit anal when it comes to Christmas {and Halloween music}, I think Christmas displays SHOULD have CHRISTMAS MUSIC, just as my Halloween show has music that is more themed toward that holiday.

Not saying they aren't great video's, but the ONLY ONE I could honestly vote for in good conscience would be #3, as it was the only one that had actual Christmas music playing in synch with the lights.

But to each his or her own.

Orville,

You might want to look at your own facts. That IS Cracker's house.

And just because it's not Christmas music does NOT mean it's not a Christmas display.

I'm proud to be an American year round and so playing it year round is just fine in my book.

I vote up SparkyLights.

This was my favorite this year. Ive watched it 100 times and Im sure itll be 100 more before this years is posted. Kevin (Cracker) dispay is awesome and brought a lot on board as well showed off plenty of RGB capabilitys. Thers a few over on the Aus forum FastEddy and AussiePhil amazing displays as well. Those 2 have some RGB and Pixels are crazy! If you havent seen Phils pixel tree, you havent seen what capabilitys there are for them.

The first house is in Florida and was programmed by Richard Holdman. I think he did a blurp about it on his facebook page a while back. The homeowners pay a company to put up lights every year for Christmas. This was their first year doing animated and they hired Richard to program and install the controllers. They were also featured on a morning show like Good Morning America. (not sure that was the exact show) And it was done at Christmas time...

I think Cracker even stated that though he did not plan on doing a Christmas display he had already had this done for LFMAO and decided to add Santa hats and roll with it.

Well, they didn't include the winner, so the four houses in the video can only be rated 2 through 5.

Jeff

I would not want to pick a display that would be considered the best. There are so many great big and small displays. tooo many no way is there just one better than the rest

I tend not to look at these videos as who is best and who is not, for me it like comparing a Rembrandt to a Picasso. All of us have a different canvas to work on large or small. In the end all of you do some really amazing stuff, all by thinking "what if I do it this way".

I just recall cracker stating on the forums he was NOT doing a "PUBLIC" Christmas display, from all then hoopla and visitors he had at Halloween and wanted to gIve his neighbors a break.

So I still stand by my comments.

Again, all great displays, but I just KNOW MY PREFERENCES and stated such if I had to judge a "Christmas Display set to music", I would be more prone and apt to vote for a display using an actual Christmas tune.
