kvnschmdt
Hello -I hope this is the right place to post this question.I am new to the christmas light show thing - I do have a fair bit of DMX stuff, but would like to branch out into christmas lights.I am interested in getting a CTB16PC and controlling it with the LOR software. However I wonder if in the future I will be able to operate it with my Enttec USB PRo or chauvet DMX control board. Both of these use the 3-pin DMX. With these devices it is necessary to know the address of the fixture to be operated. Is it possible to get the DMX address(es) of the CTB16PC controllers? Do you need to use a CAT5 to 3-pin DMX adapter? Thanks in advance.Best,Kevin
WilliamS
you would need a crossover cable to do it, but they can accept DMX protocol.http://forums.lightorama.com/forum75/32421.html
kvnschmdt
Thanks Goofyguy,After looking at the link you provided and following some other links listed I have some more questions...1. Can the LOR software use the Enttec USB PRO to talk the the CTB16PC (through a crossover cable)?2. Can you use the CTB16PC as a DMX fixture to be controlled by other software? How do you determine what the DMX address of the CTB16PC is?Thanks in advance...Kevin
