Gen3 vs. Gen2

I have PC CTB16PC Gen2 boards now. I noticed that the 50% light output for my LEDs was actually at 20% in an LOR S3 sequence. :?

If they use up all the G2 boards and I end up with some G3s, will that affect my dimming points? Will I have to keep track of which signals are going to G3 boards?

The reason is not all leds dim the at the same rate. The new boards have the ability to creat dimming curves and you can save them.I think in the near future that the new firmware for the gen 2 boards will also allow dimming curves.

gen 1 2 and 3 (preset settings) are all the same when it comes to dimming some leds need to be dimmed in a diffrent manner that is why you can edit the controller to dim diffrently you can also set it that a channel can be either on or off so you can not accidently dim a non dimmable item

if you are having good luck with the G2 boards on dimming just leave the g3 boards settings on the default dimming settings which would give you the same output

The silk screen will indicate it on each board.

Thanks, so if the bottom of the control board says ctb16pc v1 then its a first gen board?

What are the differences functionally?

Nothing except G3 have snubbers, ghost loads, dimming curves, larger triacs.
