DougP
It has been suggested that people might like to have frames made to hold lights in a grid for the roofs. Something like a frame that is 4 foot wide and 2 foot high with a wire mesh inside of the frame to hold the lights in any way that you would want to tie them on. Therefor, if you wanted to cover a 20 foot by 10 foot section you would need 20 of the sections. They would be made for 1/4 cold rolled round steel with a wire mesh and them powder coated black. The frames would be made to lock together. Please let me know what you think? Thanks,
plasmadrive
Ok.. you asked.. So thinking outloud at this early hour...This is going to be my first year with roof lights and my plan is to slit PVC pipe, slide the LEDs in the gap. Very light weight, holds the lights straight up and spaced however I wish. (very copy cat of me)Although I like the idea of using metal, the weight is more, rust (from where the powder coat will wear off from me dragging them when I should not), does not appeal to me personally. As well, unless your mesh is pretty fine the spacing would be limited. (That applies to the PVC idea as well in one direction). With that said, the weight might be an advantage with high winds. If you have to zip tie them on, you could tie them at different angles.. something that you can't do with the slit PVC idea. Metal is far more dimensionally stable and won't warp as PVC can over time.So that was a lot of wind for nothing, huh? (c;
